it's hard to be anything but anthropocentric in a world beyond full of humans

but I feel drawn to the tree communities, ancient, wise, growing.
I don't know what it is about them that
allows me to breath fully and see with a special light.

I feel pulled to work with humans, because it's what I know best.
I want to study trees but really I want to understand them, commune with them, live in their company.
It's not even being in a forest in particular that gets me. It's the simple location outside of a human structure, in the world where we don't dominate. Out of and away from doors.
But nor do I want to study the scientific intricacies of what I love.
I just want to love it.
